lslr-waterstreet

City crews are beginning the fifth week of the lead service line project, and work is moving faster than expected. As of the end of last week, over 35 new service line replacements were completed.

Stakeholders will receive an email from the City advising of an impending call from Brandt Excavating requesting an onsite homeowner meeting. These emails are sent out typically one to two weeks prior to the meeting request.

Engineer’s Update:

To date, 38 services have been replaced. Crews  will be patching the asphalt in the upcoming weeks, but in the meantime all disturbed asphalt is being temporarily cold patched, and roads are fully open and functional. Crews will also be sodding areas where replacements are completed soon. The City appreciates all resident cooperation so far.

Contractor’s Update:

The week of May 30-June 2  Brandt will be working on Walnut Street, south Harrison Street, and south Mallory Avenue. Construction pace has increased, with two to three services completed daily. This pace is anticipated to continue, weather permitting. Ground conditions have significantly improved now that work is to the west of Rt 31. Resident cooperation has helped scheduling of services.
