[ARCHIVED] Plan Commission Seeks Feedback for Proposed Recreational Vehicle Regulations

The Plan Commission will conduct a Public Hearing on January 18th at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers regarding changes to zoning requirements for Recreational Vehicles in Residential Districts.  The Hearing comes at the request of the City Council to investigate the City’s existing RV regulations.  

The Commission will review possible changes to the Zoning Code, These changes include:

•Add a limitation for one Recreational Vehicle on a lot in Residential Districts (including RV, Trailers, Campers, etc.)

•Add a prohibition on parking of a recreational vehicle in the required front or corner side yard between October 15 and April 15

•Loading and unloading may occur for a period not exceeding 48 hours within any one week period

•All vehicles must be parked on a continuous hard surface such as concrete or asphalt.  

•No guest recreational vehicles are allowed to be parked on residential property.
