Parkway Trees
In general, the city owns and maintains the trees in the parkway. Trees are inspected year-round and pruned when necessary during the winter months. We ask that residents help out by watering trees when they are new or during drought conditions. If there is a problem with a tree in the parkway, please call the Public Properties and Services Division at 630-454-2400.
The city offers an annual program to work with residents to add trees to the parkways. If you would like to add a tree to the parkway on your own or if you need to remove a tree from the parkway for some reason, you will need to obtain a permit (PDF) from the city. This form should be returned to the Community Development Department.
